I get a lot of emails about 2.2 support (FRG22D specifically) on the Droid and 2.2 support on the Droid X. As of right now, their are no good options for automated soft roots. I will be putting together a guide in the next few days to help people with their options if they have upgraded to the 2.2 OTA on either of these devices. Your best option will be to SBF flash back to 2.1, root w/ Easy Root, then install ROM Manager and install a non-official ROM and never worry about lossing root again. Again, a new guide for this will be up in a day or two.
