What if i had purchased your app, then reflashed my phone to stock to fix previous root issues, this removed your app and now i am unable to download the app again? Any chance of getting the app directly from you?
Well, that kinda sux … I’m glad I got it when I did (apparently moments before it got pulled) … it’s *perfect* on my DX 2.1 … hope it still works on 2.2 (if/when that arrives)
I’m ready to give my donation, Mr DeMille …
Excuse my major noobiosity … but can’t the package be linked here and downloaded straight to people’s phones?
So if we bough the application on the Market will be able to get a .apk of the application form somewhere or someone if the app isn’t allowed back on the market?
Hey dude, really cool app hands down! I’ve got surprised how easy and fast you can root avoiding all the hassle of going through the process, it will be cool if you can restore the app back in market, but consider few glitches:
-Average user does not really know what root means/is for (Do further explanation on your site so average joe know this is not a scam, bogus or malicious app) You lack of simple basic info on this, perhaps the reason (among other presumed risks) why google pulled out from market being this such a useful app (man, you really nailed with the idea!).
Also do explain for the advanced user how the process is accomplished (not need to reveal the trick) otherwise you can have hordes of devs attacking your app and flagging as malicious. Not saying this was the reason as I was looking to buy it but out of the market…
-Make the app available outside of market:
You might know this, but refreshing your mind will not hurt: I know hundreds if not thousands that are willing to pay to root the phone just for the sake of gaining full market access. If them have to root the phone for buying the app, then it it is pointless to have it only in market, isn’t it? Also, if you do this, explain how to install non market signed apps (average joe again, ya know).
-Last but not least, provide a change log and why the app is being updated once the phone is rooted. Explain if the app needs to remain or not for rooting to stay. I’ve read many comments of people complaining about application updating (why I have used it already?) which lead to make them think the app is malicious, if money return for uninstall is an issue, then with more reason you need an out of the market app, needles to say. I would be happy to keep the app just if I need to unroot.
Hope to see it back so I don’t have to go through the whole shitty process.
I am inserting a copy of my comments entered in Google Market in support of Easy Root and its developer as follows:
I wonder if the recent net neutrality conference between Google and Verizon had anything to do with discouraging people rooting. They want to be able to push advertisers and sites who pay more faster download times over the air. Any method which would enable people to have more control over their phones would probably have a negative effect on their plans for over the air internet payola. I am disgusted too with the suspension of the Easy Root app; what else could you expect from Verizon and Google as their only loyalty is to shareholders and the perpetuity of their respective corporations. All the planning and marketing in Verizon is being done by glitzy admen and on the backs of competent former Bell employees who were dedicated to serving the public as a utility. Perhaps a sideloaded .apk file might serve notice that those of us who pay absorbent monthly fees for data deserve to be treated as the lords of their corporate lives and not as an afterthought.
Set up a PayPal and post the app here. I will gladly pay for this app. If Google wants to play games screw them just go around. If its a matter of principles I get it…but I doubt that Google and all of its wireless friends (Verizon,at&t, sprint, ect.) are gonna allow such an app to exist. I admire your talent if icould write lenix code I would, but this should be shared with the android community either on the market of off.
keep up the great work.
Sorry to hear about the problems you are having with Google…..open source or not, they are beginning to act alot like Apple!
Anyway, I purchased and downloaded the Easy Root yesterday while it was in the market…it is AWESOME!
but later, while using ROM Manager to update a ROM, it WIPED the phone CLEAN, and when everything re-downloaded from Google automatically, it did NOT add Easy Root back to the phone…it seems like I am still rooted, but I need the app back to be able to UN-root if needed……PLEASE! PLEASE!
is there any way to get the APK from you so I can have it….I have the electronic receipt from Google to prove it was purchased from you, I just want this app back SOOOO badly!! I am NOT what you would call tech saavy, and this app is a real LIFE SAVER!
I bought Easy Root on the market but I didn’t get the updated version. Is it possible for you to send me the 1.2.2 version. I would like the option to unroot. Thanks.
Nice job of programming. It too bad Google is playing a game with you. You developed an App for a system that is open and Rooting is not illegal. This is the reason people hate Apple; because big brother (Steve Jobs) is censoring everything.
Hope you get you App back on sale (other than Google) because I would like to buy it before deciding to go through the trouble of using a custom ROM.
I you start selling it again please email me so I can buy it, thanks.
you need to make a non market download for it i really want to root my phone. i have 2.2 and was waiting for you to do this and know i can stupid google but just please make a non market version
Was just getting ready to download, and seen it is gone.
Is their an alternate location?
I seen torrent location, but was weary about loading it their.
I purchased Easy Root and have since reset back to factory settings; however, I forgot to set my phone back to being unrooted. Please advise how I can set my phone back to unroot. I paid for the program but can’t download it again because it was removed from Market.
